DJ, Sound & Lighting Services
Making your event a wonderful success is my first priority! With over 20 years of experience, I offer a level of service that is a great value. I also understand that you have a budget to work with for your event. While many people look at DJ services based on price first, consider this, it's not how much you pay, it's what you get for your money!. McSound Production's music library is fully LICENSED to be performed at any public or private event and we are fully INSURED. All of our music is true CD quality, direct from actual licensed CDs or professional music licensing companies, NOT illegally downloaded files or ripped music from the internet.
I offer my clients the best possible personal service, experience and charge a reasonable price. The majority of my events last 4 hours or more, however, if you know that your event will be less than 4 hours, contact me and I will gladly give you a quote for a shorter event. There are never any additional costs or setup fees.

- Coordinating with your other vendors such as your event planner or wedding director, venue, caterer, photographer, and videographer to make sure all aspects of your event transition nicely.
- Referral Services. I have worked with many excellent event professionals that I will proudly refer to you. Please check my referrals page and contact those vendors.
- 20 Years of Experience. While we will put together a comprehensive plan for your event, my experience allows me to be flexible and change things to fit your needs as your event is happening. Sudden changes are no problem. If you need to add, drop or change items in the order of events, I can handle those changes smoothly, so your guests will never know.
Weddings
Wedding Reception Service
- Wedding receptions are typically booked for 4 hours of performance time at your wedding reception. Any additional time will be billed on a half hour basis. Keep in mind that all of the above services are included for free.
Wedding Ceremony Sound Service, Option I
- If the ceremony is held in the same room as the reception. Included in this service: All ceremony music as well as providing wireless lapel microphones for clergy and the groom. The bride will be picked up by the groom’s microphone. I will also attend the rehearsal the night before to make sure everything goes smoothly.
Wedding Ceremony Sound Service, Option II
- If the ceremony is held in a different location from the reception requiring a second sound system. All services listed in option 1 are included.
Rehearsal Dinner Party
- For up to 4 hours of DJ service including dinner music. Any additional time will be billed on a half hour basis.
State of the Art Dance Floor Lighting System
- Many couples like to add a light show for their wedding events. If you would like to have the ultimate dance floor party lighting system, you may add this option to your reception or rehearsal party.
Full Room Lighting Packages
- If you would like to have the entire space done with color matched lighting, monogram lighting, and or table spot lighting, we would need to see your venue space and or the designed layout for your event to give you an individual lighting quote.

Special Events
Bar/Bat Mitzvah Party
- 4 Hours of DJ performance, including 2 Performers, a DJ and a dedicated MC, full party dance floor lighting system, event consultation and planning, glow necklaces and party favors for the kids! All games and props included for the event. Any additional performance time will be billed on a half hour basis.
Corporate Holiday Party
- 4 Hours of DJ performance, including full party dance floor lighting system, event consultation, awards presentations with wireless microphones, dinner and dancing music! MC services for any games, raffles, etc during the event. Any additional time will be billed on a half hour basis.
High School Prom
- 4 Hours of DJ performance, including full party dance floor lighting system, event consultation and music selection. Any additional time will be billed on a half hour basis.
Class Reunion Parties
- 4 Hours of DJ performance, including full party dance floor lighting system, event consultation and music selection. Any additional time will be billed on a half hour basis.
Fraternity or Sorority Formal Events
- 4 Hours of DJ performance, including full party lighting system, event consultation, and music selection. Any additional time will be billed on a half hour basis.
Sweet Sixteen Parties
- 4 Hours of DJ performance, including full party lighting system, event consultation, and music selection. Any additional time will be billed on a half hour basis.
Theme Parties
- Whether you would like to have a 50s Sock Hop, a Groovy 60s Party, a 70s Disco Party, or an Awesome 80s Party, I have the music and expertise to make your theme party a success! Pricing includes up to 4 Hours of DJ performance, including full party lighting system, event consultation, and music selection. Any additional time will be billed on a half hour basis.
Children's Parties
- These parties are kid friendly with extra care taken to make sure the music is suitable for elementary school aged children. For up to 4 Hours of DJ performance, event consultation, and music selection. Any additional time will be billed on a half hour basis.
Any Other Events
- If you are having a fashion show, beauty pageant, road race, athletic event, awards show, family picnic or any other special event, McSound Productions can provide DJ and sound services for any event. Please note that there is a 3 hour minimum for this plan.
Additional Details
Contracts
- Your special event is covered by a contract with McSound Productions. Whether you book your event with us or not, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A SIGNED CONTRACT WITH YOUR VENDOR! A professional DJ service will provide you with a contract. You should never book an event without the security of a contract. A contract protects you and the vendor. Make sure you have all of your questions answered by your vendor regarding your contract. A retainer fee of approximately one-third of the full amount is due upon signing your contract. The remaining balance is due at the end of the event.
Travel Expenses
- For travel to locations more than 1 hour away from Raleigh, Durham or Chapel Hill, NC, a charge of $60.00 per hour will be charged for travel. This charge covers travel and transportation expenses but does not cover lodging if necessary.
Meetings
- I will be happy to meet with you before you sign a contract with me. At this meeting, I will give you a sample contract, planning guide and a copy of the music list and pricing information. I will be happy to answer any and all questions you may have. There is no charge for any meetings or consultation we have for planning your event.
